Atmnirbhar Bharat

INDIA has faced the COVID-19 situation, a spirit of self reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) that is evident in fact from zero production of personal protection equipment before March 2020.

On May 12, the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, announced a special economic package of Rs. 20 lakh crore (equivalent to 10% GDP) with the aim of making the country independent from export and imports or we can say to break the chain of global supply and also to help in empowering the poor, labourers, migrants who have been adversely affected by COVID-19. The idea of Atmnirbhar Bharat is to develop all the sectors of the Indian Economy in an efficient way and the sectors are primary sector, secondary sector, tertiary sector, industrial sector, commercial sector, etc.

The Five pillars of Atmanirbhar Bharat focus on:

1. ECONOMY:

Establish that economy that does not bring incremental change but brings only quantum jump. It plays a vital role in the economy of India as it encourages the local and small businesses to set up their business operations in global market. The Government of India helps to these local businesses by providing loans to the local businessman.   

2. INFRASTRUCTURE:

Establish that infrastructure that recognized modern India. With the set up of local business the lower class labour will get the jobs and this may helps to increase the employment level in India and also there may be an increment in GDP and National Income of India. It may help the government to generate revenue for taking decisions regarding other infrastructure development.

3. SYSTEM:

Establish that system that doesn’t bring old rituals but establish that arrangement which will base on technology that will fulfill all the dreams of 21^st century. All system of the business activities and operations may help a lot to adopt new innovations and technology, both, the innovation and technology plays a vital role in an economy to give competition to other competitors.

4. DEMOGRAPHY:

It benefits to all the lower class society as it encourage and help them to start their small scale business to a higher level and also helps in changing their livelihood. The poorer will not suffer from starvation and it is an idea to give employment to the lower class society of the economy.

5. DEMAND:

Produce goods in our own country so that we can bring those goods in supply that will help to fulfill all the demands of the society and break the chain of global demand and supply. If the demand increases then the supply will automatically managed. For example, our country (India) is top three exporter of medicines, tea, mango, etc.

OBJECTIVES:

1.The first aim or objective of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan is to make nation self reliant or we can say independent nation.

2. The second objective is to do vocal for local, that will help our country to reduce its dependence on imports and may also give a boosts to exports.

3. It also focuses and on land, labour, liquidity and laws, so as to achieve self-reliance. The relief was fund announced by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Some Drawbacks of Aatmnirbhar Bharat:

·  Due the government restrictions and control there may be the businessmen will not be able to set  up their business as per their choice and preferences. With the full control of the government the local business may not operate freely to some extent.

· Because of the nepotism and corruption the idea of the government may fails to follow the rules and regulations as per the central government. The whole fund may be eaten through the other government employees and we can say that in India it is a very serious matter in front of the central government.

· For the local businessmen, there may be a problem of choosing land, uncertain conditions of the local market in front of global marketers as they may give a tough competition.

·There may be lack of skills, ideas, interests, lack of personals and skilled labour, etc. Due to these situations the local business operator will not be able to survive in global market.

· Some poor ideas, initiatives and concepts of the business may not applicable for the new comer to set up business and this may become hindrance to generate loan and funds from the banks and other financial institutions.           

Conclusion

We can conclude that self-reliance will prepare the country for tough competition in the global supply chain, and it is important that the country wins this competition. The package will also focus on empowering the poor, laborers, migrants, etc., both from organized and unorganized sectors. It plays a vital role in building up the India Economy in an effective way so as to increase job opportunities and business opportunities for all the country people.
