Some of you might know that what Nepotism is??
Wikipedia defines it as “favourism granted to relatives” or in simple words we can say that using your power or influence to give unfair advantage to your family, in to your social background and especially giving them jobs which can leads to the jobs are not available for the other candidates and students those who come from other areas and those who are eligible for doing the jobs from Exams. That’s the reason, in our country India there is a high rate of unemployment level which around to be 3.13% currently. Generally, all the rich class people who have proper resources and money to do such kind of activities which leads to a favour of their relatives only without any hindrances because many other rich people who support such kind people for the idea of Nepotism in an economy.
On the other hand, the backward and poor class people suffers a lot to get the job as per their skill and knowledge and all the efforts and money go waste of these class of people because they do not have resources like rich class people and so that they are unable to fulfill their requirement effectively and as result, the poor and backward class people unfortunately engaged to work as a labour, sweeper, newspaper seller and so on. In India, there may be on an average 60% of the individuals are suffering from nepotism.
Well Nepotism present in each and every sector in our country, right from politics to entertainment industry to even business. Nepotism also followed in sports, education, hospitals and many other administrations, Nepotism is quite prevalent. Nepotism is not bad, if there is successful transition from one generation to another, which merits talents. The talented students and candidates may not be able to occupy the top position, always, especially in business conglomerates. Bu the talent never goes waste, the success may come late than usual, but it is rightly said “better late than never”, like Irfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bollywood they two famous actors are the good examples.

Nepotism plays its role in various areas and they are:
Nepotism in Business: Nepotism plays a common role in India that their son or daughter of even the public limited companies would take over him/her. The selection of successors is hardly based on merit and performance. All top business houses in India (Tata, Ambani, Bharti, Adani, Wipro) are run as a family enterprise. So the all the business activities will not collapsed in future but the other local businesses may suffer.

Nepotism in schools, colleges and institutes: It plays as a role to hide the talented candidate’s admissions in schools, colleges and institutes. Due to the nepotism the above class people register and confirm seats for their sons, daughter and relatives before the admission date and the other candidates suffers a lot for taking admissions according to their choices. This reflects that the hidden talent may not able to achieve success. That’s the reason, why the Indian candidates migrate to other countries for the search of jobs according to their skills and qualification.

Nepotism in Politics: In our country India, there are many politicians promote their own kids from childhood. So this factor may leads to the other new comer with higher qualification their thinking de-motivate from the actions which are performed by the politicians. There are so many cases of nepotism in Indian politics that you can fill several books with their names.

Nepotism in Film Industry: There are many big stars and celebrities in the film industry have their own film production houses and most of the film stars today are the children and family members of some famous film personality. They only promote their children only and the new comer suffers a lot as do not enter them in their film industry, that’s why the like Shushant Rajput is now a current and live example of it. The film industry thrives at nepotism. Literally I hate such kind of personality and by the way I rarely like to watch Bollywood movies and generally I like to watch Hollywood movies.
Overall, the nepotism plays its role to steal and damage the hidden talents, qualifications, knowledge, etc. to capture the area of business, politics, schools, colleges, film industry, hospitals, etc. and if we go out to see our surroundings, neighborhood and in our social areas the nepotism is everywhere.
